Eric Reeves - This site links to electronically published analytic briefs and advocacy writings on Sudan by Eric Reeves. These have been organized chronologically, and include electronic publications since the signing of the Machakos Protocol (July 2002). A separate link will offer access to publications in 2005. There is also a separate link for analyses published from July 2002 to December 2003 and another for earlier pieces, primarily related to oil development in southern Sudan and pre-July 2002 stages of the peace process involving the National Islamic Front regime in Khartoum and the Sudan People's Liberation Movement/Army (SPLM/A).

The Sphere Project - The Sphere Project was launched in 1997 by a group of humanitarian NGOs and the Red Cross and Red Crescent movement. Sphere is based on two core beliefs: first, that all possible steps should be taken to alleviate human suffering arising out of calamity and conflict, and second, that those affected by disaster have a right to life with dignity and therefore a right to assistance.

Non-Government Organisations

EU-CORD - Christian Organisations in Relief and Development, was formed in 1998 with the goal of serving the poor more effectively and improving the conditions of disadvantaged people in the developing world. In 1999 a secretariat was set up in Brussels in order to help the members become more active in the institutions of the European Union. By 2001 the network had grown to 12 members from 8 EU Member States with a total annual turnover of 127 million euro.

UNJLC - is an inter-agency facility reporting, in the current emergency, to the Humanitarian Coordinator for Sudan, and overall to the Inter-Agency Standing Committee. Its mandate is to coordinate and optimize the logistics capabilities of humanitarian organizations in large-scale emergencies. UNJLC operates under the custodianship of WFP who are responsible for the administrative and financial management of the Centre. UNJLC is funded from voluntary contributions channelled through WFP.

VOICE - is a network of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) throughout Europe that are active in the field of humanitarian aid, including emergency aid, rehabilitation, disaster preparedness and conflict prevention. VOICE was created in 1992, with a Secretariat established in 1993 under the Liaison Committee of European Development NGOs. In March 2001 VOICE became an independent NGO network with more than 90 members.

Go Africa - On the 26th of October 2005 four guys from Orebro, Sweden will start off on a journey for life... They will travel across the African continent by car for about ten weeks. The purpose with this jorney is to inform the swedish general public that the money and efforts that the they contributes affect peoples’ lives and situations in a positive direction. But despite the support the situation is still very grave in many parts of the world, in fact many African countries are now suffering their hardest time in decades.
