World Water Week, Stockholm

The World Water Week in Stockholm is the annual meeting place for the
planet's most urgent water-related issues. The event is organised by the
Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI), it brings together experts,
practitioners, decision makers and leaders from around the globe to exchange ideas,
foster new thinking and develop solutions. The theme for 2009 is
'Responding to Global Changes: Accessing Water for the Common Good'.
The event takes place in Stockholm, Sweden, August 16-22, 2009.

The Swedish Ambassador commissioning the work of IAS Uganda
On June 24, 2009 - The Swedish Ambassador to Uganda, Mr. Anders Johnson commissioning a borehole
drilled by IAS at Adaka Lela Village, Lira Palwo Sub-County in Pader District, Northern Uganda.
On his immediate left is IAS Uganda Programme Country Director, Miss Juliet Namukasa and the
LC5 Vice Chairman, Mr. Akena Alfred. The borehole is one of those funded by
Läkarmissionen for the year 2009.

IAS becomes certified Verified Compliant
LONDON, June 11, 2009 - Congratulations are due to RedR,
International Aid Services
and International Relief Deutschland who have recently been certified Verified Compliant
with the Code of Good Practice. This is the highest level of certification from People In Aid
and shows them as leaders in HR within the humanitarian and development sector.
